Privacy Policy
Who we are
Pundit Alert is a football punditry accountability project, operated from Ireland. For anything in this policy, contact punditalert@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, if you submit the notify form. We use it for one purpose: to tell you when we launch. If you gave it with a pundit suggestion, we also use it to tell you when that pundit is on the board.
- Pundit suggestions: the name you suggest and, if you add it, where they appear. We use these to decide who to track. Suggestions are kept as product research and are not tied to you unless you included your email.
The legal basis for all of this is your consent, which you give by filling in and submitting a form. Nothing is collected automatically, and nothing is pre-ticked. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Who processes it
Form submissions are handled by Formspree, a third-party form service based in the United States, which receives what you type and forwards it to us. Their handling of your data is described in the Formspree privacy policy. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Email addresses are kept until we have sent the launch notification they were collected for, and are deleted after that unless you have opted into further updates. Suggestion names may be kept longer as anonymous product research. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email punditalert@gmail.com and we will act on it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
